Acclaimed author and interior designer Cathy Whitlock will share highlights from each decade, style and genre--including sets from Top Hat, The Fountainhead, Gone With the Wind, The Age of Innocence, Something’s Gotta Give and many more—with photographs, behind the scene images and sketches. Discover the thrill of antiques collecting as a panel featuring some of Chicago’s most informative young collectors and experts share their stories, tips, and the reasons they collect. Moderated by Chicago Gallery News publisher Ginny Van Alyea, the panel will include collector, designer, and preservationist Todd Schwebel, and Maine Antique Digest's "The Young Collector" columnists Andrew Richmond and Hollie Davis. The World of Madeleine Castaing
15th Floor, Suite 1520 

Join author and design historian Emily Evans Eerdmans as she discusses the inimitable style of Madeleine Castaing--one of the great original French talents of decoration of the 20th Century. Leopard carpeting, opaline blue, black lacquer, and an eclectic mix of neoclassical furnishings ranging from English Regency to Napoleon III have all formed part of the vocabulary of "le style Castaing." Eerdmans will explore elements of Castaing's style and chronicle her legendary life and career. Book signing will follow at Potterton Books, Booth 8118. Antiques can play very well with many different design styles. Three Chicago design experts demonstrate how they can create beautifully unique living spaces by blending contemporary furnishings with antiques and fine art from The Fair. Located at the north side of show floor.

Ramsey Prince
Ramsey Jay Prince Designs
With a background in fine arts and more than 20 years of experience in the design industry, Ramsey has worked on a diverse and impressive collection of projects. He most recently created the Future Fantasy Tablescape and Inside Out Garden Vignettes for the Chicago Flower & Garden Show and is currently designing and producing a line of Home Furnishings, which will be available in stores all over the country. His work has been featured in many national and local publications, as well as TV programs including NBC's LXTV Open House.

M. Grace Designs is an award-winning Interior Design firm founded by M. Grace Sielaff, a recognized expert in color, and recipient of the ASID Design Excellence Award. Her work has been featured in Spectacular Homes, Elle Décor, Chicago Home + Garden, CS Interiors, Dream Home at The Merchandise Mart Design Center, Luxury Home Quarterly Magazine, Design Bureau, Alarm Press, and Today's Chicago Woman. Known for her bold use of color and pattern, Summer's interiors represent an aesthetic style she's termed “cultured irreverence”. Mixing high and low, rough and polished, classic and playful, her designs are traditional at their core, but infused with of-the-moment elements to add personality and energy. After several years in the textile industry, Summer started her namesake firm in 2007 and has been designing unpretentious, fun, and fresh interiors ever since. Summer Thornton Design Inc now manages projects nationwide with an emphasis in Chicago and the surrounding area.
